Newington High School Grappler Qualifies for State Open
The Indians had a lone placewinner at the Class L championships.

BRISTOL, CT — A wrestler from Newington High School will be competing in the State Open next weekend, following an impressive performance in the Class L championships at Bristol Central High School.
For the first time since 1996, Bristol Eastern won the Class L title, edging New Milford by a 231-230 margin. Daniel Hand was third with 143.5 points.
The State Open will begin Friday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
