Newington High School Swimmer Experiences Success at Class L Championships

An Indian recorded a pair of top five individual finishes at the class meet at Southern Connecticut State University.

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the sixth straight year, the Darien High School girls swimming team captured the Class L state championship Tuesday at the Southern Connecticut State University pool.

The Blue Wave compiled 729.5 points to outdistance runnerup Cheshire, which had 666.5.

Amber Rocheleau of Newington High School had a pair of top five placements, finishing third in the 200 individual medley and fifth in the 100 butterfly.
