Newington Man Sent To Jail For Child Porn/Sex Convictions: Feds
The federal conviction stems from enticing a Pennsylvania minor to have sex with him and send sexually suggestive images to him.
SCRANTON, PA./NEWINGTON, CT – A Newington man was sentenced to more than 17 years in prison this week for having sex with a minor in Pennsylvania and obtaining sexually suggestive images of the minor.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said Christopher Capozza, 42, of Newington, Conn., was sentenced Wednesday to 210 months behind bars by U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani for the online enticement of a minor and production of child pornography.
Capozza previously pleaded guilty to one count of online enticement of a minor and one
count of production of child pornography.

According to federal authorities, between July 23, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2020,
Capozza used Snapchat to persuade, induce, and entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual
activity.
Those include engaging in sexual intercourse with Capozza and traveling with him to
Connecticut and Massachusetts to continue illegal sexual activity.

On or about Aug. 23, 2020, Capozza persuaded, induced, and enticed the same
minor to make several pornographic videos and then send those videos to him via
Snapchat, federal officials said.
The matter was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Omaha Police Department in Nebraska, and the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Connecticut and Nebraska.
Assistant United States Attorney James M. Buchanan prosecuted the case.
This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched
in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
