Newington Motorcycle Run To Benefit Scholarship

NEWINGTON, CT — Newington police Monday afternoon announced the 18th annual Master Police Officer Peter J. Lavery Memorial Motorcycle Run will take place in the area on Saturday, Sept. 18.

The event will be rain or shine and take place over 35 miles in several area towns, such as Newington, Berlin, Rocky Hill, Cromwell, Middletown, Portland, Glastonbury and Wethersfield.

The ride is expected to start at 10 a.m. at Churchill Park, which is located at 1991 Main St., Newington.

It is expected to end at 11:15 a.m. at the Newington park.

Proceeds benefit the Peter J. Lavery Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc.

Motorcycle riders can participate for $20, with all proceeds going for the cause.
