
Adeline H. Krompegal, 96, lifelong resident of Newington, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by people that loved her. She was the beloved wife of the late William L. Krompegal.
Adeline was born in Hartford on August 19, 1920, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Karas Hollis. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Adeline was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in New Britain and was a long time employee of the State of Connecticut.
Adeline is survived by her son William M. Krompegal; grandchildren Michael Krompegal and his wife Cheryl of Forestville, Charlene Coan and her husband Jason of Newington, and Jonathan Krompegal of Cromwell; great-grandchildren Ryan and Nicholas Krompegal, and Mackenzi and Jennifer Coan. She is also survived by her sisters Florence Marrone and Mildred Lerner. Adeline was predeceased by her brothers Stanley, Edwin, Julian, and Fred Hollis; and sisters Frances Nasiatka, Celia Easton, and Stella Mathena.

Her family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Adeline's caregivers Sofia and Marta for caring for her like she was family.
Adeline's funeral will begin on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by services at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Adeline's family on Tuesday, June 27 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
