Newington Obituary: Anita Lang, 69

Anita D. Lang, 69, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Hartford Hospital.

Born September 18, 1947 in Hartford, daughter of Yvonne (Rouleau) Durkin of Bloomfield and the late Martin Durkin, she grew up in Hartford before living in Newington, Cromwell and Middletown. Before retiring, she was employed at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. In her later years, she enjoyed painting, but the light of her life were her two grandchildren, Lindsay and Luke.

Besides her mother, Yvonne, she is survived by two children, Marty Lang of Northridge, CA and Meagan Reid and her husband, Robert of Walla Walla, WA; a sister, Margaret Rocchi of Windsor Locks; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Luke Reid; a niece, Dori Crail and her husband, Richard of Manchester; a nephew, Robert Williams and his wife, Linda of Enfield; two great nieces, Samantha Bessette and Jessica Williams.

A funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 21, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
