Newington Obituary: Anthony Fierro, 49

Condolences to his family and friends.

Anthony John Fierro, 49, of Wethersfield, died unexpectedly on April 8, 2016.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of Felice and Beverly (Nadeau) Fierro of Newington, the beloved father to Katie Fierro and the fiancé of Chris Maitz both of Wethersfield. Anthony was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical High School. He was a very hard worker and had a great passion for the outdoors, which led to his vital position and labor of love at Fierro Landscaping for over 35 years. He loved his motorcycle and rode every chance he got. May he ride easy now. He loved riding along with the Newington Police and our CT State Troopers. He enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, family gatherings and spending time with his best brother and best friend, Philip. Most of all, Anthony was devoted to his daughter Katie who was always first in his heart and life. Anthony left us with the knowledge to love our lives and live every day to the fullest. "Dad, I will carry you in my heart every day. You truly were my best friend and I love and miss you."

A beloved son, father, brother, uncle, best friend, and companion to Chris, besides his parents, Katie and Chris, he leaves brothers, Philip Fierro of Hartford, and John A. Fierro of FL; his sister, Donna Lewczyk and her husband David of Berlin, as well as nieces and nephews, Jessica, Steven, Jamie Lee, Lena and Taylor. Anthony will truly be missed by all.
