Newington Obituary: Corrado DeFelice, 89

Corrado "Charlie" DeFelice, 89, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017, in Sarasota, FL with his family by his side after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the beloved husband of the late Giuseppina (Sortino) DeFelice.

Born in New Britain, he lived in Newington and was a member of St. Ann Church in New Britain. He was employed for many years at Fafnir Bearing until his retirement.

A loving father and grandfather, he leaves his four children, Anna Williams of FL, Jo-Anne Gulino of Berlin, Adriana DeFelice of Newington, and Paul DeFelice and his wife Karen of FL, his granddaughter, Jennifer Joseph, and one great granddaughter, Nicole Perron. He also leaves his sister Patrina Sipala of Italy, several nieces and nephews and his cat Sam. He was predeceased by his sister Frances Ferro.

His funeral service will begin on Wednesday, April 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 18th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
