Newington Obituary: Elfriede Gionfriddo, 91

Elfriede (Frieda) Anna (nee Volk) Gionfriddo, age 91, passed peacefully on Sunday August 14, 2016 at Brookdale Long Cove Pointe, Mason, Ohio. Beloved Wife of the late Angelo Anthony Gionfriddo whom she married on June 22, 1957 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Frieda was born May 27, 1925 in Wörth Am Main, Germany, the daughter of Rosa (nee Boneberger) and Josef Volk.

She is survived by her son Joseph Gionfriddo (Lynn) of Landen, OH., Grandchildren Kara & Caitlin and her son Randall Gionfriddo (Kay) of Newington, CT., Grandchildren Bryan, Mariza, Phillip Gable and Danna Gable.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington, CT. Everyone will remember her warm friendly smile.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave. Newington. Committal prayers will follow in the Chapel at West Meadow Cemetery.
