Newington Obituary: Felix Morales, 26

Felix Abiel Morales, 26, of Hartford, formerly of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at his home.

Born in Hartford, son of Felix Juan Morales and Jacqueline (Rivera) Morales, he grew up in Newington and graduated from Newington High School in 2010. Felix was kind hearted and loved to help people, which led to him spending time working with the Newington Volunteer Ambulance and as a Newington Volunteer Firefighter. He recently moved to Hartford to pursue a career as a Hartford firefighter.

Along with his parents, he leaves his sister, Jalexie Rios of Newington, his maternal grandparents, Gregorio and Margarita Rivera, and his paternal grandmother, Sarah Santiago, all of Hartford. He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Karen Rivera, Greg Rivera, David Rodriguez, Sarah Colon and Carlos Colon, all of Hartford, many cousins and very close family friends, Robert Bell and the Bell family.

His funeral service will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 9:00 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Graveside Service at 10:00 a.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
