Newington Obituary: Katarzyna Kowal, 65

Katarzyna Kowal, 65, of Newington died on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at home. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to be around people. She enjoyed dancing and social events and will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her daughter, Monika Maziarz and her husband, Matt and the love of her life, her granddaughter, Maya; her brothers: Jan, Tadeusz and Mieczyslaw Kowal and her sisters: Kazimiera, Janina, Maria and Emilia. She was predeceased by her sister, Zofia.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at St. Mary's Church, Newington. She will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
