
Kathleen (Perry) Conner, 69, of Vernon, loving wife of over 39 years of the late James Conner, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at her home.
Born in New Britain on September 27, 1948, a daughter of the late Meddrick and Pauline Perry, Kathleen resided in Newington for many years prior to moving to Florida before coming back to Vernon in 2012. Kathleen was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1966. She was formerly employed for 15 years as a caretaker at the museum in Newington.
Kathleen liked to crochet, play bingo, and volunteer for all the organizations and activities that her son was involved with. Most of all, Kathleen was a proud home maker, caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her time with her family.

Kathleen is survived by her beloved son, Shawn M. Conner and his wife Amy of Vernon with whom she made her home; and her adored granddaughter, Mackenzie Ann Conner of Vernon. She also leaves two brothers, Dean Perry and his wife Betsy of Plainville, Gary Perry and his wife Theresa of Plainville; a sister, Nancy Perry of Newington; a sister-in-law, Nan Perry of Bristol; a brother-in-law, Robert Conner and his wife Judy of Georgia; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Along with her husband and parents, Kathleen was predeceased by a brother, Blaine Perry of Bristol.
Funeral service will be Saturday (January 27th) with a graveside service at 11 am at the Chapel of the State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. Kathleen’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday (January 26th) from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be made to the Connecticut Rivers Council, BSA, 60 Darlin Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
