Newington Obituary: Kristin Piatkowski, 47

Kristin (Brinkman) Piatkowski, 47, of Newington, died far too young on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017.

Born in Hartford to Carol (Richkowski) and the late David R. Brinkman, Sr., she was a longtime Newington resident and graduated from Newington High School Class of 1988. After graduating, Kristin worked as a travel agent, a job she always loved. Her current position was at Legrand North America where she served as Customer Experience Coordinator. Her most important job however was being a mom to her adored daughter, Megan, who was the center of her world. Kristin loved to travel and was a kind-hearted, positive woman who always wore a smile.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Mark Piatkowski; her daughter, Megan Piatkowski; her mother, Carol Brinkman; her brother, David Brinkman, Jr. and his wife, Camilla; her mother-in-law, Wieslawa Piatkowski, her brother-in-law, Robert Piatkowski, nieces, cousins, and the many friends lucky to have known her. She was predeceased by her father, David R. Brinkman, Sr.

Funeral services will begin on Friday, Sept. 8 at 8:45 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
