Newington Obituary: Leo Paradis, 74

Leo J. Paradis, 74, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Lorette M. (Sirois) Paradis for 50 years.

Born in Frenchville, ME, son of the late Rene and Exilia (Albert) Paradis, he was a longtime Newington resident and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Leo was also a member of the Franco American Club in New Britain and the St. Jean the Baptiste Society in New Britain.

Along with his wife, he leaves his four children, Janice Pawlak and her husband David of Middletown, Wayne Paradis and his wife Donna of St. Francis, ME, Kristine Fuller of Middletown, and Eric Paradis of Middletown, and his grandchildren, Jackie, Sean, Kelly, Jaimie, Caroline, Austin, Ryan and Dani. He also leaves his siblings, Antoine, Antoinette, Joel, Jill, Gilda, Gertrude, Jeanne, Pauline, Paul, Reno, Kate and Kathy, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 20th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. Burial will be private in the CT State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
