Newington Obituary: Louis Lombardo, 76

Louis E. Lombardo, 76, of Newington, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Boccia) Hamilton Lombardo for 41 years.

Born and raised in New Britain, son of the late George and Anna (Wohinz) Lombardo, he was a longtime New Britain resident until moving to Newington 35 years ago. Louis was a former member of the Moose Club in New Britain prior to its relocation to Kensington.

He retired from New England Centerless Grinding after 30 years on employment. Louis also enjoyed auto racing and used to be a stock car racer at the old Plainville Stadium. He also loved old western movies and snacking on junk food.

Along with his wife, he leaves his son, John Hamilton and his wife Rayna of Newington, his daughter Lisa Hamilton of FL, his seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Blake, Addisyn, Chase, Shauna, Donovan and Dylan, and his great granddaughter, Brynlee.

All funeral services will be private. Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington is serving his family.
