Newington Obituary: Lucy Clarke, 81

Lucy R. (Ringrose) Clarke, 81, of South Windsor, formerly of Newington, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late James C. Clarke.

Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Kenneth and Jeannette (Vancouvering) Ringrose, she attended the University of Hartford and UConn and was employed by Colvin Yachts for many years prior to her retirement. She was also employed at the Hartford Ballet/Jorgensen Center for Performing Arts. Lucy also enjoyed volunteering at the Dinosaur Park in Rocky Hill.

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her daughter Jeannette Biel and her husband George of South Windsor, her four grandchildren, Kent Clarke, Brian Biel and his wife Ashley, Michelle Masciulli and Andrea Biel and her fiancé Angelo Elia, and three great grandchildren, Tristan and Sophia Biel and Ellone Elia. She was predeceased by her son Kenneth "Kent" Clarke.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, 124 Maple Hill Ave., Newington. Burial will be private.
