Newington Obituary: Maureen Fenton, 73

Condolences to her family and friends.

Maureen"Mo" Fenton, 73, of Newington formerly of East Hartford passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 12, 2018, after a 14 year battle with cancer.

Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Aloisi) Fenton, she attended Saint Patrick School in Hartford, later moving to Hebron, and then graduated from RHAM High. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Smith Barney.

Maureen was an independent career woman who was passionate about her job and took pride in her work. In her free time she enjoyed boating with family, the beach, Motown bands, and playing the slots.

She is survived by her daughter Kendra Cormier and husband John, her adored grandchildren Gianna and Mason, who she cherished immensely, brother, Daniel Fenton, many nephews, nieces, three Godchildren, Louis Treglia Jr., Pam Anderson, David Olbrias, and many lifelong friends and family. Maureen also leaves her beloved first cousins who she shared the best of times with and who supported her throughout her courageous fight; Bonita Treglia, who was her soul sister and heart along with Frank and Penelope Petrone. She was predeceased by her two favorite aunts Adelia "Tillie" Boccaccio and Amelia "Millie" Petrone.

Funeral services for Maureen will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. She will be lovingly laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Friends and family may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home.
