Newington Obituary: Olga Szwez, 87

Olga Szwez, 87 of Palm Harbor, FL passed away on June 28, 2017, at Mease Countryside Hospital.

Born in Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Anna Filonou and Boris Kondratenko. Formerly of Newington, Olga was a member at Saint Volodimir Orthodox Church in Hartford and belonged to the Sister Society of the church for many years.

She leaves behind her two sons, Peter Szwez of FL, and Nick Szwez and his wife Diane of PA, a daughter-in-law Elena Szwez and her brother Bill Kondratenko. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Linda Szwez, Michael Szwez and Suzanne Szwez of CT, Nancy Woodard and Peter Szwez of FL and Patrick Szwez of PA. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Peyton, Tyler and Mason as well as family in Ukraine. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ivan, her brother Yuri Kondratenko and her son Jerry Szwez.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July, 8, 9:00 AM at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home from 8-9 AM prior to the service.
