Newington Obituary: Rose Reinwald, 91

Rose D. Reinwald, 91, of Newington, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

Born in New Haven to the late Michele and Concetta (Vanore) D'Angelo, she made her home in Newington for most of her life. She was the loving wife of George A. Reinwald who predeceased her in 2002. She was a telephone operator for SNET for 29 years and then her employment with American Airlines allowed her and George the opportunity to travel the world.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and Cindy, her loving caretaker for many years. Rose was predeceased by her siblings: Josephine Mendoza, Florence Jones, Adeline Dorsi, John D'Angelo, Sylvester D'Angelo, Jenny Murphy, Carmel Argo and Mary Bacchi.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. She will be laid to rest with her parents in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
