Thomas R. Gunning, 43, of Manchester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his home.
Born in New Britain, son of Joyce Dube Gunning of Newington and the late Thomas Gunning, he was a longtime Newington resident and spent time in New Haven prior to moving to Manchester. Thomas was very athletic and creative, he loved football, baseball and motorcycles. He had a talent of working with his hands and fixing things, especially cars.
Along with his mother, he leaves his grandmother, Jeannette Dube Doirin of New Britain, his brother Lenny James Gunning of FL, his nephew Daniel Gunning, stepfather, Charles W. Martin of Newington and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, Sept. 17th, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Burial will be private.
