
Wilfred "Bill" G. Moore, NC1L, 64, of Newington, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was the beloved wife of Sharon A. (Desroches) Moore for just under 40 years.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Wilfred and Marilyn (Cathers) Moore, he was a Newington resident since 1986. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Bill was employed by the American Radio Relay League as DXCC Manager until his accident occurred, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. As a ham radio operator, he was known around the world and had a kind and loving heart. He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife to Bermuda.
Along with his wife, he leaves his brother, Eugene Moore and his wife Ginger of NC, and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his brother.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Military honors will be held directly after the service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to a Veteran's charity of your choice.
