Newington PD Seeks Vehicle That Hit Bicyclist
The hit-and-run accident badly injured the bicyclist, according to police.

NEWINGTON, CT — Local police are looking for a vehicle suspected of being involved in a vehicle-versus-bicycle collision that badly injured a bicyclist Sunday.
According to a Newington Police Department release Monday, at about 10:55 a.m. Sunday, the NPD was sent to Fenn Road just north of Ella Grasso Boulevard for a reported person on a bicycle being struck by a vehicle.
Police said the bicyclist was traveling northbound on Fenn Road at the time.

The vehicle that struck the bicyclist fled the scene and was last seen traveling northbound on Fenn Road being operated by a male, according to the NPD.
"The pictured suspect vehicle appears to be an older model Toyota Camry color silver/gray with no front license plate and a broken passenger side headlight," wrote the department.

Police said the bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford.
