Newington Resident Scratches Off Nice Payout In Berlin

NEWINGTON/BERLIN, CT — A Newington resident has a fatter wallet these days after a recent trip to a Berlin gas station.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., Newington resident Mykhaylo Geba won $100,000 Wednesday in the "Strike It Rich!" scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was purchased in the Kensington section of Berlin at 301 Berlin Turnpike, lottery officials said.

The game is a $20 scratch-off game that features a maximum prize of a $1 million annuity, though its likely this winning person isn't complaining too much.
