State Tournament Play to Open for Newington
Here is a look at the upcoming matchups for Indian soccer and volleyball, as well as their state championship game history.
NEWINGTON, CT — Cross country is over, swimming brackets will be announced later this week and football still has three games to go, but four other sports begin their state tournaments over the next three days, with two involving teams from Newington High School.
Listed in order of better seeds, here is the upcoming tournament schedule for Indian teams:
- girls volleyball (LL): No. 22 East Hartford at No. 11 Newington, Mon., 11/6, 6 p.m.
- girls soccer (LL): No. 22 Newington at No. 11 Middletown, Tues., 11/7, 4 p.m.
