Varsity Schedules Set to Begin in Newington
Indian varsity squads are set to open the regular season beginning Friday.
NEWINGTON, CT — Schools are all now back in session throughout Connecticut, and athletic teams have been practicing for nearly two weeks. Looking forward, opening day for Newington High School varsity squads is literally just around the corner.
Here are the scheduled regular season openers for Indian teams:
- cross country - Friday, Sept. 8 at Blue Dragon Invitational, 3:45 p.m.
- field hockey - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. South Windsor, 3:45 p.m.
- girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Rocky Hill, 3:45 p.m.
- girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 at Rocky Hill, 5:45 p.m.
- boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Rocky Hill, 6 p.m.
- football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Chicopee (MA), 6:30 p.m.
- girls swimming - Monday, Sept. 11 vs. Enfield/Somers, 4 p.m.
