NEW LONDON, CT — A woman was hospitalized after crews rescued her from the Thames River on Monday, according to The Day of New London.
The woman's clothes were located near a Hamilton Street restaurant.
Fire officials told The Day that the woman appeared to go in the water voluntarily and swam to the middle of the river, avoiding rescuers until she was taken out of the water at about 4:50 p.m.
