NEW LONDON, CT — President Donald Trump will deliver the keynote address at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation May 20.
The 145th commencement at the institution will begin at 11 a.m. at Cadet Memorial Field. The event is not open to the public.
The president will congratulate the cadets, the newest generation of military leaders for the Coast Guard, on their hard work and dedication, according to a Coast Guard statement.
Last year, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem delivered the commencement address at the Coast Guard.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at Leamy Hall Auditorium, where seating will be limited.
