Parking Restrictions, Road Closures Announced For Celebrate New London

NEW LONDON, CT — Parking will be restricted in downtown ahead of the Celebrate New London festival Saturday, July 11.

The restrictions begin at midnight Friday.

No parking will be allowed in the following areas:

• Bank Street from Tilley Street to State Street
• State Street between Union and Water streets
• South Water Street
• Masonic Street - event permits only
• Atlantic Street - event permits only
• The municipal lot between Pearl and Tilley streets - event permits only
• The municipal lot behind Caruso's off of Golden Street - event permits only

Vehicles parked in the restricted areas will be towed beginning at 4 a.m. Saturday.

There will also be the following road closures in effect beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday:

• Bank Street (one-way portion)
• State Street (from Eugene O'Neill Drive to the Train Station)
• South Water Street
