NEW LONDON, CT — A vehicle was struck by gunfire in the early morning hours Saturday in New London, according to police.
A person told police Saturday afternoon that their vehicle had been hit by a bullet earlier that day at about 1:30 a.m. in the area of Chelsea and East streets.
Officers inspected the vehicle and confirmed it had been struck "by a projectile," police said in a statement.
No injuries were reported.
Police are investigating.
