Dirt Bike, Motor Vehicle Crash In New London, Police Say

NEW LONDON, CT — The New London Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a dirt bike and a motor vehicle that occurred Saturday in the area of Howard Street and Walbach Street.

At 1:18 P.M., New London Police and Fire personnel responded to the area of Howard and Walbach streets for a reported crash involving a dirt bike and a motor vehicle.

"Initial reports indicated that the operator of the dirt bike appeared to be injured," police said. "Upon arrival, emergency service personnel located an injured male in the roadway. Immediate medical aid was rendered on scene, and the male was subsequently transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment."

Members of the New London Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded and are investigating.
