STONINGTON, CT — Stonington holds a public hearing on capital project requests for the 2027-28 fiscal year, the Climate Change Task Force meets at Mystic Aquarium and personal property declarations can now be filed online.

1. Public Hearing On Capital Project Requests
When: Thursday, Oct. 15, 6 p.m.
Where: Police Department Community Room, 173 S. Broad St., Pawcatuck
What to know: The town will hold a public hearing on its Capital Improvement Plan for the 2027-28 fiscal year, according to the agenda. Officials will give an overview of the process, and residents can comment on funding requests, which cover major equipment and vehicles, new facilities and infrastructure costing more than $10,000, land and building purchases, and projects that require borrowing.

When: Due Monday, Nov. 2
Where: Stonington Assessor's Office, Town Hall, 152 Elm St.
What to know: Personal property declarations are due to the assessor by Nov. 2, and a new online filing system has been available since Oct. 1, according to the town. Those who filed before will get a notice in the mail. Questions go to the assessor's office at 860-535-5098.
