2 Hospitalized After Boat Explodes In Connecticut Pond: Reports

KENT, CT — Four people sustained injuries, including two hospitalized, after a boat exploded Saturday morning in a Connecticut pond, according to reports.

The explosion occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Leonard Pond outside of Club Getaway in Kent, WTNH reported. Officials took two people to New Milford Hospital, but their injuries weren't life-threatening, officials told NBC Connecticut.

Fire personnel extinguished the blaze. Officials and Club Getaway staff secured the scene for any possible contamination of the pond, according to WTNH.
