Wanamaker, Towson, Stewart: Recent Death Notices From New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT — Condolences are extended to the family and friends of those who have recently died.

Joyce Ann Stewart, 74, of New Milford, died July 12. She worked as a licensed practical nurse. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Lynn Stewart Ewings, and brother, Gerald Stewart.

Lewis H. Wanamaker Jr., 87, of New Milford, died July 2. He as a U.S. Air Force veteran and taught hat-making at the New Milford Senior Center. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and four children.

Ray S. Towson, 81, of New Milford, died June 23. He was a 40-year resident who worked in food and beverage distribution management and later in quality control for the Melissa & Doug Toy Company. He is survived by his daughter, Robin, and son, Brad.

Karl F. Hermonat, 84, of New Milford, died June 22. He taught music at Brookfield High School for 44 years. He is survived by his son, Karl Aaron, and two grandsons.

Marcella Martin, 62, of New Milford, died June 5. She was a lifelong resident and volunteered with Loaves & Fishes and the VFW Auxiliary.
