NEW MILFORD, CT — Whether you're after lake frontage, a fixer-upper's worth of square footage or just some elbow room, New Milford's real estate market has a little of everything this week. Using the latest listings on Zillow.com, here's a look at the five most expensive homes currently for sale in town, topped by a slice of Candlewood Lake shoreline.
No. 1 on the list is 28 Lake Drive, asking $1,549,000 after a recent price cut of $81,000 on Aug. 26. The waterfront property comes with roughly 50 feet of direct Candlewood Lake frontage, complete with a private sandy beach and a dock — about as close as New Milford gets to a resort listing. The home has 2,736 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Just behind it, at $1,125,000, is 159 Merryall Road. It's a smaller footprint than most of the homes on this list, at 1,796 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which puts its price per square foot well ahead of the pack. It has been on the market 5 days.
Rounding out the top three is 4 Mia Bella Drive, listed at $925,000. The 4,070-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 full, 1 half) and has been listed 15 days.
No. 4 is 9 Birch Road, asking $749,900. The 2,466-square-foot home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and has been on the market 23 days.
Closing out the top five, at $730,000, is 169 Indian Trail Road. The 3,168-square-foot home is the roomiest of the bottom half of this list, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 full, 1 half), and has been listed 13 days.
Prices, availability and days-on-market figures reflect listings on Zillow.com as of Aug. 27 and are subject to change.
