Members also removed a Danbury Road site from their blight list, added new complaints on Dons Terrace and Valley View Lane, and discussed creating a dedicated town blight webpage.
• CT woman wanted to 'give my sister her voice.' It became a children's book series. (newstimes.com) — A New Milford resident has turned a tribute to her singer sister into a growing children's book-and-lullaby series that blends stories with QR-code audio. She's now sharing her Story & Song events at libraries, including an October 24 program in Woodbury, giving local families a new way to enjoy reading time together.
• DWCS Week 5: The Next Jon Jones? r and 3 Others Join the UFC Roster (twsn.net) — A Connecticut MMA writer who also coaches football at New Milford High School breaks down four fighters who just earned UFC contracts on Dana White's Contender Series. While the bouts are national, it's a fun connection for local sports fans to know a New Milford coach is closely involved in the fight world's rising talent.
