Bouquillon, Kwasniewski, Hughes: Recent Death Notices From New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT — Recent death notices from New Milford.

Nancy Hughes, 98, died Oct. 6 at Candlewood Valley. Born in St. Francis, Maine, she moved to New Milford with her husband, Henry H. Hughes, in the late 1960s. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Heckel and Karen Merritt Gellella, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Georgia A. Bouquillon, 90, died Sept. 29 at home. A lifelong resident of Sherman and New Milford, she is survived by her children, Glenn A., Laura, Brian D. and Kenneth A. Bouquillon.

Mary Ann Belanger, 84, died Sept. 28 at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehab. A Conard High School and Becker College graduate, she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Belanger, and three children.

Anna Rivard, 94, died Sept. 12. Born in New Milford, she is survived by four children and nine grandchildren.

Joanna Kwasniewski, 84, died Sept. 10. Born in Poland, she came to the United States in 1967, married Stanley Kwasniewski in 1974 and lived in their New Milford home for the rest of her life.

Ellen L. Thompson, 67, died Aug. 6 at Regional Hospice. Born in Manhattan, she is survived by her husband, Jim Thompson.
