The Sherman Players continue our Centennial Celebration with a special fundraiser on August 21-23. We're putting on a Staged Singing of Roy O'Neil's original musical, Save the Palace. It's a classic tale of aging rock 'n rollers on a mission to save an historic building (the Palace) and corrupt politicians trying to tear it down.
This show has it all... politics, romance, and long lost hopes and dreams, all to the tune of a musical comedy sound track with a rock and roll beat. O'Neil's show was winner of top honors at the Manhattan Theater Mission's New Musicals Showcase and the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Mary Ann Randazzo of OuterStage.com describes this show as "Unquestionaby two hours of pure enjoyment" and Theresa Perkins of MyTheatre.com says it is "Unabashedly fun and uplifting"!
This show serves as a fundraiser for the Sherman Players, helping them to plan new seasons and invest in some technical infrastructure. All tickets are by donation. The minimum rate is 20, but, you know, please pay what you can.
