RiverFest Returns to New Milford — and This Year We’re Lighting Up the River!

Spend the day at the river — and stay for the fireworks!

RiverFest returns to Young’s Field on Saturday, October 3, bringing friends, families and neighbors together for a full day of music, food, activities and fun along the banks of the Housatonic River.

And this year, RiverFest has a spectacular new finale. As evening arrives, River Lights will illuminate the riverfront at 6:30 pm, followed by fireworks at dark.

Admission is FREE.

There’s something happening throughout the day:

• 11:00 am – Safe Walk
• 11:00 am–1:00 pm – New Milford Kind
• 1:30 pm – Color Fun Run
• 3:30 pm – Hot Wing Challenge
• 6:30 pm – River Lights
• At dark – Fireworks
• Live music and entertainment
• Food trucks
• Beer & Wine Garden
• Children’s activities
• Arts & crafts vendors
• Community organizations

Come for an hour or spend the whole day. Grab something to eat, listen to the music, explore the vendors, bring the kids — walk along the river and then find a spot as we light up the sky to close out RiverFest 2026.
