Candlewood Lake Clean-up Registration is Open

Workers will depart from any of the town parks in Brookfield, Danbury, New Milford, New Fairfield or Sherman

NEW MILFORD, CT — Registration for the annual Candlewood Lake litter clean-up is officially open.

Volunteers will begin loading up boats at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18. They may register as either a cleanup worker or boat captain. Workers will depart from any of the town parks in Brookfield, Danbury, New Milford, New Fairfield or Sherman in the morning to collect debris from the shoreline.

Volunteers, led by their boat captain, will collect debris from designated points on the lake.bring it to New Fairfield Town Park around noon for a cookout. Volunteers will then to return to their original departure points with their boat captains.

Boat captains and other volunteers can register online.

Every participant must register individually to have a valid registration and ensure we have room on the clean-up boats. Registrations for families or multiple participants will not be considered valid.

Registration closes when it reaches capacity or on May 13.
