Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut Honors Diane Dubreuil

Gallery 25 Director Diane Dubreuil, was honored at the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut’s 11th Annual “Business Supports the Arts” Awards Breakfast with the “Heart of the Arts” award. This award recognizes the outstanding volunteer efforts of an individual and their contributions made to encourage and nurture the arts and culture in their community and significantly increasing our region’s quality of life.

The awards are bestowed upon businesses and individuals who benefit the arts and culture within the communities that the Cultural Alliance serves. “It was our distinct honor to recognize Diane for her incredible generosity that has benefited New Milford and the arts community,” says Lisa Scails, Executive Director of the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. Her commitment to the field is a gift to remember and an example to many.”

"It is so well-deserved. With her decade at the helm of the Commission on the Arts, and her drive to develop Gallery 25, now in 'The Art Depot', the historic train station in the heart of downtown, Diane has always been an active advocate for the arts in our region.”

The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is a nonprofit group that supports art and culture in northern Fairfield and southern Litchfield counties. Its office is located on Main Street in Danbury.

With guidance from the New Milford Commission on the Arts, Gallery 25 was founded in the fall of 2014 as a cooperative-style art gallery representing local and regional award-winning artists and artisans. Gallery exhibitions, both then and now, include a wide variety of unique fine art and fine artisan creations in a wide range of media. Renewing interest and growth in the local art scene is a priority of the gallery and its member artists.

Gallery 25 is conveniently located at 11 Railroad Street at the historic train station in New Milford, Connecticut (http://newmilfordgallery25.blogspot.com). Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 12 Pm to 5 pm, or by appointment (phone 860-355-6009). Admission is free. Ample free parking is available.
