Danbury Man And Woman Dead After New Milford Stabbing
Two Danbury residents are dead after a fight and stabbing in New Milford,
DANBURY, CT — Two Danbury residents are dead after a fight and stabbing in New Milford, police have reported.
New Milford Police responded to a 911 call about a fight and a stabbing on Young's Field Road around 7 p.m. Monday. Officers found a 38-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was treated at the scene, and then taken to Danbury Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say a man had fled on foot into the Housatonic River following the fight, according to police. Members of the New Milford Police Department Dive Team recovered the body of the 32-year-old Danbury man from the water around 9:15 p.m.

Police say the man and woman knew each other, and there is no danger to the general public. Autopsies were scheduled for Tuesday.
