MILFORD, CT — A New Milford man is accused of driving while under the influence at the time of a motor vehicle accident, Milford Police said. On Nov. 18, police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 and Plains Road. Investigation led to the arrest of Chad Bixler, 38, of Rollins Glen Drive in New Milford, who is accused of driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, police said. He provided a breath sample, which showed an elevated blood alcohol content, police said. He is charged with DUI and failure to obey traffic signal.
