According to the Hartford Courant, several local fire agencies responded to the home at around 9:30 p.m., and that nobody was home at the time of the blaze. The Torrington Register Citizen reports that the American Red Cross is assisting a family consisting of three adults.
The Register Citizen also reports that the local firefighter's union IAFF Local 801 will be hosting a fundraiser on April 9 at Molly Darcy's and that it has decided the proceeds will benefit the victims of the fire.
