Firefighters Battle Fast-Moving Blaze in New Milford
Multiple companies were called in to manage the fire.
NEW MILFORD, CT — Firefighters battled a fast-moving blaze that kept emergency personnel from seven companies hopping on Sunday.
Shortly before 2 p.m., Water Witch Hose Company #2 was alerted to a structure in the Candlewood Lake Road north neighborhood. First responders were met with heavy fire showing from the front of the residence, according to the report.
After determining that all occupants had evacuated the premises, and confirmed that fire officials issued an "all call" to neighboring emergency personnel. The call succeeded in bringing ou help from Northville Fire Department, Gaylordsville Fire Department, New Milford Community Ambulance, Sherman Volunteer Fire Department, Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, and Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department.

All departments "worked seamlessly to quickly bring the fast moving fire under control" fire officials posted on Facebook. The all-clear was given around 4 p.m.
