Firefighters Tackle Residential Blaze At New Milford Antique Home
First responders found smoke showing from the eves, and fire visible in a second floor addition, of a two-and-a-half story antique home.
NEW MILFORD, CT — Firefighters tackled a residential blaze Saturday afternoon in the Merryall neighborhood of New Milford.
Members of the Water Witch, Gaylordsville and Northville Fire Departments all answered the call.

Crews forced entry to the house and got the fire knocked down within minutes, but limited access and various remodels made overhaul and checking for extension a difficult task, according to Water Witch fire officials.
No injuries were reported.

Additional manpower was requested from Sherman, Brookfield, Washington, and Bantam, while New Milford Ambulance provided standby and Bridgewater Fire provided station coverage, Water Witch officials posted on Facebook.
