Linda Ann Tucker, 70, of New Milford, Passed Away

Linda Ann Tucker age 70 of New Milford, passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Tucker.
Linda was born March 14, 1946 in Memphis TN, a daughter of the late Al and Dorothy (Pontius) Kittelberger. She was a graduate of Midpark High School in Middleburg Heights, Ohio in 1964.
Linda received her Bachelors degree in 1969 from Cleveland State University and obtained a Masters degree in Education from the Western Connecticut State University in 1976. Linda taught for a year in California and after moving to Connecticut she spent the remainder of her career at Mill Ridge Elementary School in Danbury retiring in 2007.
Linda was an active member of the First Congregational Church of New Milford where she taught Sunday School and served as secretary of the Church Council for 13 years. During her illness she enjoyed Monday visits from her son's dogs, Otis and Ivy.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, Linda is survived by her son David Tucker and his wife Jenny of New Milford, CT; her brother James Kittelberger and his wife Phyllis of Cleveland, Ohio; a niece Jamie Emley and her husband Brian; four nephews Matt Kittelberger and his wife Karen, Kenny Kittelberger and his wife Tamara all of Cleveland, Ohio, Craig Tucker and his significant other Sue and Eric Tucker and his wife Alicia.
The family would like to thank the staff at Diebold Family Cancer Center in New Milford and the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association for their care and kindness through Linda's illness.
