Man Killed In New Milford Hit-And-Run ID'd
A 64-year-old man was killed in a New Milford hit-and-run crash Thursday night has been identified.

NEW MILFORD, CT — A 64-year-old man was struck and killed in a New Milford hit-and-run crash, News 12 reported.
Emergency crews responded to Danbury Road (Route 7) shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car traveling northbound, according to WTNH News-8. Responders found a 64-year-old man lying in the roadway when they arrived.
The victim, John W. Capodanno, of Bethel, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A 41-year-old New Milford woman was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse north on Danbury Road when she struck the pedestrian, according to The Danbury News-Times.

Danbury Road was closed from Dodd Road to Still River Drive while police investigated the crash.
The driver reportedly fled the scene but police located the driver at a nearby apartment.
