UPDATE: New Milford Police Not Charging Man Who Stole Ring

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have identified the man caught in surveillance footage that they say stole a woman's ring off a counter at Kohl's, but say they are not pressing charges.

A police spokesperson told the News-Times that the complainant did not want to pursue a criminal investigation provided that the ring was returned.

The theft of the ring, valued between $400-700, occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Kohl's on 169 Danbury Road., police say.

On their Facebook page, the police wrote that the matter was "resolved," and ,"as always, we thank the public for its help."
