McCarthy Observatory in New Milford Begins Summer Program
The theme of the first 'star party' is 'The Outer Solar System — Winter is (Always) Here.'

NEW MILFORD, CT -- The John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford will re-kindle its “Second Saturday Stars” program on July 14 from 8 to 10 p.m.
Each month a new "star party" is thrown around an astronomy related topic. If weather permits, a variety of telescopes are available for public viewing of seasonal celestial objects.
The theme of the July 14 presentation is "The Outer Solar System — Winter is (Always) Here," and will be held at the observatory behind New Milford High School on Route 7 South. The event will feature a virtual tour of the solar system, concluding with the chilly outer solar system.
