Microbreweries Could Soon Be Allowed in New Milford: Report
Zoning officials will consider changes to the town's zoning code.

NEW MILFORD, CT — There currently isn't any language for small-scale alcohol-producing businesses in New Milford, but that could change after Zoning officials weigh some new code changes, reports the News Times.
On March 28, a public hearing will be held regarding the changes that would pave the way for the opening of microbreweries, microdistilleries and microwineries in New Milford. The lack of language makes it hard for businesses to start in town, a problem which the proposed amendments would likely alleviate.
The new language would remove outdated liquor laws, according to Town Planner Kathy Castagnetta.
